SERVICES
Home Visits
We understand getting to appointments can be time consuming. Our therapist is able to travel up to 30 minutes to see you in the comfort of your own home!
Water-Based Therapy
Perfect for water based goals e.g. swimming or hydrotherapy. These sessions are completed at Aqua Jetty in Warnbro or Cockburn Arc.
TeleHealth
TeleHealth is a great option for families who cannot attend face to face appointments e.g. do not live locally.
Community Visits
Perfect for goals that extend beyond the house! E.g. accessing playground equipment, riding a bike, etc.
INITIAL CONSULTATIONS
During your child's initial consultation at Functional Paediatric Therapy our therapist will get a comprehensive history of your child including any relevant medical information, when they reached particular developmental milestones, their daily habits, what concerns you have and goals to improve their physical health. A detailed objective assessment will then be completed to assist the therapist in identifying areas your child may need help, setting goals and creating an individualised treatment plan.
FUNDING
At Functional Paediatric Therapy we are able to work with clients funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) who are self-managed or plan managed.
At Functional Paediatric Therapy we are able to work with clients who have received 5 allied health sessions through the Medicare Chronic Disease GP Management Plan. Please contact your GP or Functional Paediatric Therapy to learn more about this option.
At Functional Paediatric Therapy we are able to work with clients who have have private health insurance. Please note, we do not have HICAPS and you will need to lodge a claim with your insurer.
